Free usenet tools - great site
Lately I have been playing aroung a bit with usenet and newsreadears. Most of them are limited shareware versions or commercial ones. One of my friends gave me a link to a great site with Free Unsenet tools. It has a max filesize limit so it will not encode or decode files larger than 10MB but for most small ones found on the newsgroups the tools work just fine. The list of supported online encoders/decoders is really impressing. Starting with the most popular UUEncode or yEnc and ending on such uncommon usenet algorithms as XXencode or Ascii85 (i have never even seen a single file encoded using this one:)
Aside from usenet specific tools, the site also contains some simple code related stuff for developers but I don't know much about that so I can't verify them. If you use them and have any comments please let me know so I can mention about it.
I hope this post will be helpfull for those who don't have a normal newsreader and don't use usenet and newsgroups on a daily basis. If you only need do decode or encode a files once in a while or even once only - check out the mentioned site - it really is fantastic.
